Title: Machine Shop Apprentice
Location: Ashland, VA
Rate: $20-22/hr. (based on experience)

We are looking for a Machine Shop Apprentice, ideally someone fresh out of school and eager to learn the trade. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience in the following areas:
Job Responsibilities
- Learning: Safety protocols, industry standards, machine tools, blueprints, and customer specifications
- Setting Up and Operating Equipment: Working alongside a machinist to set up, operate, and repair machines
- Producing Parts: Responsibility for producing parts, troubleshooting, and ensuring parts meet specifications
- Developing Skills: Learning algebraic processes, formula manipulation, and using software like CAD/CAM, SurfCam, DraftSight, G-Code, and AutoCAD
- Safety Procedures: Following and learning shop safety procedures
- Communication: Communicating with manufacturers and team members
