We have an exciting opportunity for career development within the apprentice provision. This position requires an individual who is highly organised and has a proactive approach to assessment. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and supporting apprentices' progress, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring they meet the programme's objectives. About the role:
The Assessor role within the apprenticeship provision plays a critical part in supporting the development and success of apprentices. As an Assessor, your primary responsibility is to assess apprentices’ skills, knowledge, and competence against the required standards. You will provide constructive feedback, set clear goals, and offer guidance to ensure that apprentices progress effectively throughout their programme.
You will work closely with the Programme Manager and other team members to ensure the apprenticeship provision meets educational and industry standards. This includes conducting regular assessments, monitoring apprentices' progress, and identifying any additional support needs to help them achieve successful outcomes. You will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of assessment and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
You will stay informed about current industry practices and any updates to the apprenticeship framework or standards (e.g., via IFATE), ensuring that the assessment process remains relevant and aligned with evolving sector needs. Ultimately, your role as an Assessor is to provide a supportive, motivating, and challenging environment for apprentices, helping them develop the skills and knowledge necessary for their professional growth and career success.
