The role
We have an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start their career an Apprentice Administrative Assistant. Based in our Manchester office, this role would suit an individual who is looking to gain hands on experience in a professional services environment. You will be working alongside the Private Client team, who are a close-knit team of highly regarded experts in their field.
In this role, you will be an integral part of the team. You will be heavily relied upon for efficiently coordinating all administrative tasks, acting as the glue to connect the dots across a wider national network. We are looking for an individual who has a natural flair for organisation, good attention to detail and is passionate about process improvements. Your role plays a significant part in ensuring we can continue to deliver exceptional service to our clients. It's important to see how your daily tasks contribute to this wider goal. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate good time management to prioritise tasks. Additionally, you are an effective communicator, comfortable interacting with team members at various levels of seniority

You will support Senior team members with:
- Scheduling various meetings.
- Efficiently filing and maintaining current documents on the internal case management system
- Closing files and recording any documents being sent for storage
- Typing documents, such as letters
- Processing any relevant paperwork
- Maintaining and developing relevant spreadsheets for the team
- Making calls to clients and third parties, recording information as appropriate
- Billing
- Supporting the team with answering any queries from the wider business
- Any other general administrative tasks

We are proud to have a highly qualified Private Client team within Gateley who work side-by-side with our business lawyers. We work regularly with ultra-high net worth and high net worth individuals, business owners and entrepreneurs, family businesses and corporate professionals on private wealth and family legal matters, providing the same high-quality service and insight as they would expect in their business lives.
The person
Please note we are looking for candidates for this apprenticeship to start as soon as possible
Applicants will need to have at least five GCSE's graded A* - C/9-4, or equivalent. No previous experience is necessary; we will provide full training and support for these roles. We continue to develop and evolve our proposition and are looking for individuals with a 'can do' mentality to join the team and contribute to this wider goal.
Applicants should also be able to demonstrate:
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong time management skills, being able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
- The ability to work independently when required but also as part of a wider team.
- A keen interest in administration and a desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Strong organisational skills, paying particular attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and ability to work with spreadsheets
- Discretion and professionalism
