Sim Fire & Security Ltd are looking for a motivated and reliable Apprentice Fire & Security Engineer to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to start a career in the fire and security industry while gaining hands-on experience and recognised qualifications.
Please note: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
About the Role
You will work alongside experienced engineers assisting with the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems across a range of sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of fire and security systems
- Support planned preventative maintenance visits
- Learn fault finding and basic system repairs
- Work in line with industry standards (e.g. BS5839)
- Complete apprenticeship training and coursework
- Represent the company professionally on customer sites
What We’re Looking For
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Keen interest in engineering or electrical systems
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good communication and basic IT skills
