Role Overview:
Morson are recruiting for a time served ELECTRICAL FITTER on behalf a leading defence equipment manufacturers based in Bolton, Greater Manchester. This is a contract role although highly likely to be long-term.
Rates: £28.35 per hour Umbrella or £21.12 per hour (holiday pay on top of hourly rate) rates rise after 12 weeks to £29.70 per hour Umbrella or £22.12 per hour PAYE
Monday - Friday 37 hours +
The role will be responsible for carrying out manufacturing and test tasks within the electrical department, in accordance with product certification procedures, defined workmanship standards, allocated budgets and timescales to meet project objectives
*Suitable candidates MUST hold time served apprenticeship, any candidates without proof of apprenticeship WILL NOT be considered*
This role will now include an accommodation expense if the candidate is travelling from more than 30 miles away from BL5 postcode. This will need to be receipted and will be up to £400 per week (only for accommodation)

Certify the product in line with Product Certification procedureDemonstrated ability / willingness to certify own work in line with company quality standardsMaintain product certification and approval via regular auditsPossess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasksBe fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycleEnsure manufacturing build, inspection and where relevant test times are met.Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data packMaintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and product qualityEnsure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing processMaintain a safe working environmentMaintain a good housekeeping policyWilling to contribute to an environment of process improvement
Role requirements (skills, training and qualifications)
Essential:
Engineering/ craft apprenticeship ESSENTIALPossess experience in electrical wiring and assemblyElectrical fitting experience
Desirable:
IPC 610 certified/ trained preferredPrevious experience in the aerospace or defence industry would be desirableManual handling trainingLifting and slinging (including overhead cranes) trainingESD training
