Apprentice Tail Lift Engineer (Workshop Based)
Location: Grays, Essex – RM20 4EL
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
Atlas Repairs is looking for an Apprentice Tail Lift Engineer to join our busy workshop in Grays. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is hands-on, mechanically minded, and keen to build a long-term career in vehicle engineering.
The Role:
You will work alongside experienced engineers learning how to:
- Service, repair, and maintain vehicle tail lifts
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults
- Strip down, rebuild, and test components
- Follow safety procedures and industry standards
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and professional
Full training will be provided as part of an apprenticeship.
What We’re Looking For:
- A genuine interest in mechanics (vehicle, plant, engineering, or similar)
- Practical and hands-on approach to work
- Willingness to learn and take instruction
- Reliable, punctual, and hard-working
- Full UK driving licence an advantage, but not essential
- Basic mechanical knowledge or college course is an advantage, but not essential
