An exciting opportunity is available for a Finance Apprentice, who will provide administration assistance to the Finance team. We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude and an appetite for career progression and personal development.
Information:
- Position: Finance Apprentice
- Location: Lewisham (SE18) or City of London (EC3V)
- Pay Rate: £26,000 per annum (plus Finance apprenticeship qualification)
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Shifts: Monday to Friday – 08:30 to 17:00 – As per needs of the business
The Finance Assistant will beresponsible for the posting and coding supplier invoices for the company, reconciling supplier statements, dealing with supplier queries, processing expense claims and assisting with the processing of credit card expense claims. Will also be required to assist with other administrative tasks within the Finance team.
Job Requirements:
- Ideally will have been studying for a Finance/Mathematics qualification or have experience working in a finance environment.
- Excellent computer IT literacy skills - Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications.
- To be confident, articulate, and resilient, with a strong work ethic
- Attention to detail is critical to the success of this role.
- Ability to work towards critical deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise your own workload.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with great attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure while managing shifting priorities.
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and undergo a finance qualification.
- Ready to get stuck in and become part of a friendly and passionate team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and update the details for all requirements of the invoice.
- Monitor for annual charges to be invoiced.
- Purchase Ledger
- Process and code supplier invoices.
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Deal with supplier queries.
- Cover weekly payment run when required.
- Cashbook
- Processing bank transactions daily.
- Processing expense forms and assisting with credit card expense claims
- To assist the Finance team with other activities when required including year-end audit
