We have a newly created opportunity for a Payroll & Benefits Apprentice to join our Payroll team. In this role, you’ll be supporting the team with payroll calculations, administration, inputting and the preparation of reports.
We’ll support you with in-house training as well as providing structured study support for a CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) recognised qualification.
Your role will also include responsibility for:
- Coordinating payroll processes and inductions for new starters
- Processing new starter and leaver data in the payroll system
- Updating the system with any changes to employee terms and conditions
- Calculating holiday entitlements
- Acting as the first point of contact for any payroll queries
- Inputting payroll including annual leave, deductions and additional payments
- Running monthly reports and sharing with necessary departments
- Maintaining the benefits system
- Supporting the promotion of company benefits across the business
What you’ll need to succeed:
- GCSE Maths and English grade C/4 (or equivalent)
- Confident typing and using MS Office programmes
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
