Apprenticeship Summary:
- Salary: £6.40 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds
- Working Week: Monday to Friday 9 am - 5 pm with a 30-minute lunch break
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Duties:
As a Multi-channel Marketer Apprentice, you will assist with various Marketing related tasks, including but not limited to:
- Assist in creating, scheduling, and monitoring posts across various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
- Engage with customers on social media, responding to queries and comments.
- Track social media performance and assist in analysing metrics to improve future campaigns.
- Supporting the creation of engaging content for digital platforms, including blog posts, email newsletters, website content, and social media.
- Work with the marketing team to develop visual assets for campaigns (images, graphics, videos, etc.).
- Help ensure content is aligned with the brand’s tone, style, and guidelines.
- Email Marketing Campaigns:
- Assist with the development and execution of email marketing campaigns.
- Help manage email lists and segment audiences for targeted communication.
- Track and report on the performance of email campaigns (open rates, click-through rates, conversions, etc.).
- SEO and Website Management:
- Assist in improving the search engine optimisation (SEO) of the Harvey Norman UK website.
- Help optimise website content, product pages, and metadata to improve search rankings.
- Support website updates and ensure that content is fresh and relevant.
- Paid Advertising Campaigns:
- Support the team in managing paid search (Google Ads) and display campaigns (Facebook Ads).
- Assist with keyword research, creating ads, and tracking performance.
- Help monitor budgets and ad spend to ensure campaigns are running efficiently.
- Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
- Conduct research on digital marketing trends and competitor activities.
- Assist with gathering data on customer behaviour and online trends to help inform strategy.
- Support in preparing reports on digital marketing performance and insights.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Help collect and analyse data from various digital marketing platforms (Google Analytics, social media analytics, email performance tools, etc.).
- Assist in preparing regular reports for the marketing team, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement.
- Actively engage in on-the-job training and formal apprenticeship learning, including studying towards a relevant qualification in digital marketing (e.g. Level 3 Multi-channel Marketer Apprenticeship).
- Attend training sessions and workshops to develop skills in digital marketing tools, SEO, Google Ads, social media marketing, and more.
- Participate in regular feedback and progress review meetings.
Skills
Essential:
- Strong interest in digital marketing and e-commerce.
- Good understanding of social media platforms and how they work (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong written communication skills with attention to detail. o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced retail environment.
Desirable:
- Some experience or knowledge of digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads, Google Analytics, social media management tools like Hootsuite, Mailchimp, etc.).
- A creative mindset and interest in content creation.
- Experience in retail, customer service, or a similar industry would be an advantage.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above).
Training and Development:
As an apprentice, you will receive support through both on-the-job learning and formal training as part of your apprenticeship programme. This will typically include:
- Study towards a relevant qualification, such as Level 3 Diploma in Marketing (or equivalent).
- On-the-job training and mentoring from experienced Marketing professionals.
- Regular review meetings to track progress and development.
