What You'll Do
- Coordinates and supports HR generalist activities following established procedures
- Prepares, processes, verifies, and maintains personnel (HRIS and hard copy) related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and classifications
- Supports the internship programs’ lifecycle activities (recruiting/onboarding/performance management/separation)
- Prepares individual compensation analysis for review with managers
- Creates, improves, and updates HR templates and controlled documents
- Maintains and audits employee data in HR information system
- Supports employee lifecycle activities (recruiting/onboarding/performance management/separation)
- Provides supplemental support to various HR support areas (payroll/benefits/recruiting)
- Completes compensation surveys and other surveys as assigned
- Supports the Youth and College Maintenance Apprenticeship Program Activities
- Leads various programs to include the following: uniforms, absenteeism points, perfect attendance, new hire introduction checklists, new hire orientation, etc.
- Keeps management informed on current workload, issues, and future assignments
- Adheres to company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing professional staff behavior
- Adheres to company and professional ethics governing the handling of confidential information and the observation of confidentiality
- Maintains professional relationships with company employees, clients, and customers, both internal and external
- Represents the company professionally in all interactions both internally and externally
- Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct
- Performs special projects as required
Required
What You'll Need
- Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Organizational Development, Psychology or Business Management and having completed a minimum of one year of college
- An outstanding academic performer 3.0 / 4.0 GPA or equivalent academic requirement.
- Ability to problem solve and form recommendations
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and to prioritize accordingly
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism
- Ability to maintain a very high level of confidentiality
- Good oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
- Good organizational, planning and follow-up skills
- Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Preferred
- Familiarity with HRIS
- Ability to work part-time after returning to school
