We have a fantastic opportunity to gain a Level 2 General Farm Worker Apprenticeship at Tregenna Farm in Truro, Cornwall.
Do you have an interest in farming and are looking to start your career in Agriculture? Then read on, as we have a fantastic opportunity for a General Farm Worker Apprenticeship level 2 at Tregenna Farm, a dairy farm situated in Truro, Cornwall.
This is great opportunity to grow a career in agriculture, as there are opportunities for permanent employment and further development following the Level 2 Apprenticeship Qualification. If you have any farm experience that would be ideal, but not essential.
Each day may bring new challenges and opportunities, including dealing with the British weather!
The main duties will include but are not limited to:
Operating farm machinery including tractors and attachments
Monitoring livestock
Monitoring supplies stock e.g. livestock feed etc
Handling livestock and providing appropriate accommodation for them

Due to the farm location, candidates will need to be have a full UK driving licence and own transport.
Entry requirements
GCSE Grade 1 or above in Maths and English are required for this apprenticeship.
Training to be provided
You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship.
As you progress through your apprenticeship your duties and responsibilities will alter as you develop the skills for a successful career in agriculture.
Training will be a mix of face to face and online learning.
You will gain a General farm worker Level 2 qualification with further opportunities for training, development and permanent employment upon completion.
Functional Skills in Maths and English if required.
Things to consider
Activities are outside and inside in all weathers. You will work 30 - 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday and every other weekend 8 am to 6 pm but will need to be flexible.
