What will you be doing on the apprenticeship?
As an Accountancy or Taxation Apprentice, you'll join an exciting BBC team while developing your skills in areas like:
- Financial Management
- Assurance, Risk and Control
- Financial Information
- Legislation
- Strategic Business Management and Governance

What will you be studying?
You’ll study for your industry recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on and off the job.
CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) focuses on management accounting and provides expertise in financial management and business strategy.
ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) offers a broader spectrum of accounting skills, covering areas like audit, taxation, and financial reporting, preparing professionals for various roles in finance and accounting.

Where could the role take you?
On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be a fully qualified accountant who will be able to apply for a broad range of roles in financial functions in the BBC and across the industry!
This scheme starts in September 2025, and you will be on a fixed term contract which means your contract is for the duration of the apprenticeship only. The duration of this scheme will be between 27 and 40 months (depending on your current academic record/exemptions) and is delivered virtually.
