Your Role
As a Data Insight Analyst Apprentice, you will get the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects, while developing your skills through delivering evaluation and analytical tasks. You will work to agreed deadlines and targets that will recognise you may be developing or learning new skills.
You will use the learning gained from your apprenticeship to maintain key data sources, interrogating datasets to produce insightful analysis, and updating performance indicators, as well as producing draft reports and presentations.

Who are we?
You will be working within the Insight team, which is part of the Transport Strategy directorate.
The Insight team delivers a broad programme of strategic research and evaluation activity. Working across the organisation, the team helps to establish strategic targets and oversees their monitoring. The team also provides support on a wide range of individual projects that have recently included: the introduction of Our Pass and £2 bus fares; improvements at Bury Interchange; and the evaluation of Metrolink’s Trafford Park Line.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity to be involved in work that is at the heart of delivering Greater Manchester’s ambitious plans to transform its transport network, which includes the delivery of bus franchising, the biggest change to transport in Greater Manchester in nearly 40 years.

The ideal person for this role will have a strong desire to learn and develop their research and analytical skills. The successful person’s key attributes will include a problem-solving mind, an attention to detail, and a desire to drive change through insight. To be successful in this role, you will need to be well organised, good with numbers, able to write clearly and concisely, and have an aptitude for learning and using software. You’ll also have the ability to collect, analyse, collate and present data as well as experience using excel and Microsoft products or similar. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the fields of research and data analysis.
To be eligible for the apprenticeship, you will need to have 5x GCSE’s including English and Maths at Grade 4 or above, a level 3 qualification such as A-levels, BTEC or L3 apprenticeship, or work experience in a similar and relevant field.
You’ll also need to have been a resident in the UK for the last 3 years.
In line with the apprenticeship guidelines, to be eligible for this apprenticeship any previous qualifications or experience you have cannot be similar or the same to the qualification you would achieve from this apprenticeship.
