About this Role
Are you a Finance Apprentice, Accounts Apprentice, or aspiring Assistant Accountant looking for the first step into a long-term finance career? As an Assistant Accountant Apprentice within Dawsongroup TCS, you’ll join a supportive finance team in Sutton in Ashfield, gaining hands-on experience while studying towards your AAT Level 3 qualification with West Notts College over a 19 to 22 month programme.
Supporting month-end activities including reconciliations, journals, and ledger updates
Assisting with purchase ledger duties including invoice processing and payment runs
Helping prepare cost analysis, budgeting, and forecast information
Supporting credit control activities and monitoring finance queries by email and telephone
Carrying out general finance administration and maintaining accurate financial records
About You
You might already have some administration or finance exposure, or you could simply be looking for a career where you can learn, develop, and grow long term. We’re looking for someone with attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the motivation to build a future in accountancy.
GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent Functional Skills Level 2
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Comfortable using Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Organised approach with strong attention to detail
Willingness to learn and study towards an AAT Level 3 qualification
