Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled solar PV Installer/electrician to join our team working on residential and potentially commercial properties day to day installing solar pv systems with battery storage. As the lead electrician, you will play a crucial role in a team which will consist of a electrician (you), a lead roofer and potentially an electrical apprentice or labourer.
On the domestic projects you will be responsible for getting the Inverter, batteries, sub board and all the relevant cabling installed at the property and do the relevant testing/setup. Our office is based in Canterbury so you must ideally live within 45 minutes drive of here as you may be required to pick up materials from here for your jobs.
This is a permanent position meaning we need an installer who can give us 5 days a week.
The main systems we install on a domestic property are Sun Synk, FOX ESS, Tesla power wall 3 and SIG energy systems, experience in these specific brands isn't required as it can be taught but it would definitely help.
You need to have a minimum of 1 year solar experience or be a very confident Electrician who's looking to up skill into the renewables sector.
All of our work is in Kent, Medway, Essex, London and Surrey but we will try to give you jobs as local as possible to you.
All our work is currently price work and is paid on a bi weekly week in hand structure.
Skills/qualifications:
- 1-2 years solar pv system experience (Ideally) but we're happy to train a confident electrician
- Must have gold card or equivalent electrical qualifications
- Must have testing experience/knowledge
- Other Requirements:
- Ideally having your own van would be ideal but there is potential for you to be given a company one.
- Must have own tools.
- Most jobs you'll be required to take pictures of your work and upload them to app whilst your doing the job. These are for the company that were doing the jobs for and all the relevant pictures have to be ticked off before you can leave.
