Cybersecurity Apprentice | Security Operations & Infrastructure
Livonia, MI
STACK Cyber is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Apprentice to join our hands-on training program designed to develop real-world security professionals.
This is a
learn-by-doing apprenticeship where you'll gain experience across IT operations, infrastructure, and cybersecurity—working in both MSP and MSSP environments. You won't just study security—you'll actively support and defend real client systems from day one.
What You'll Do
- Triage and resolve IT and security tickets in live environments
- Monitor systems and investigate alerts (phishing, malware, suspicious activity)
- Support endpoint, network, cloud, and identity security controls
- Assist with vulnerability remediation and compliance efforts
- Work with tools like EDR, SIEM, MFA, backup, and email security platforms
- Document findings and contribute to operational improvements
What You'll Learn
Our structured apprenticeship progresses through:
Phase 1: Foundations & Security Help Desk
Build core IT skills while handling real tickets, user issues, and entry-level security events.
Phase 2: Infrastructure & Security Triage
Develop deeper skills in Active Directory, virtualization, networking, and security systems.
Phase 3: Advanced Support & Security Operations
Work on complex systems, incident response, and advanced troubleshooting across production environments.
Why This Program Is Different
You can't secure what you don't understand.
