Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our nursery as Apprentices. This paid apprenticeship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early childhood education and childcare, working closely with children under the supervision of experienced staff. The role is ideal for those passionate about supporting children's development and looking to build a career in management, leadership, or childcare services.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
- Support daily activities and educational programmes tailored to early childhood development
- Engage with children through play, storytelling, and organised learning activities
- Help supervise children during meals, rest times, and outdoor play
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment
- Support senior staff with administrative tasks and record keeping
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a positive nursery experience
- Participate in training sessions focused on early childhood education and childcare best practices
Qualifications
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth
- Basic knowledge of early childhood education principles (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate leadership qualities when appropriate
- Management skills or experience in leadership roles (desirable)
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings (advantageous)
- Valid driving licence (nice-to-have) but not essential
- Willingness to undertake training and develop professional skills in childcare and management
