Are you looking to begin your career working with children in the Early Years Sector? Do you want to achieve a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification, whilst gaining practical experience and working within a paid training position?
If you are you caring, energetic and enthusiastic about wanting to work within the Early Years Sector, this may be the role for you!
An apprenticeship in Early Years provides a work-based alternative to full-time study on the Childcare CACHE Diploma or A-Levels. It is also an excellent progression route for individuals who have already completed a Health and Social Care qualification and are now looking to specialize their skills / qualifications, to work within the Early Years Sector.
At Little Legends Nursery we are looking for individuals who are wanting to undertake an Early Years Apprenticeship. Applicants for the Level 2 training position require no previous qualifications or experience in Childcare to apply.
The apprenticeship post will allow you the opportunity to build your professional childcare knowledge and skills. The role will allow you the opportunity to gain valuable experience, working with children across all the age groups within the nursery.
Additionally, as an Apprenticeship position, this role will allow you the opportunity to work towards a package of qualifications including; functional skills in Maths and English (if needed), A Pediatric first aid qualification, Safeguarding training, A Basic Food Hygiene award, and a Level 2 nationally recognised Childcare qualification, the qualification required legally to work as qualified Early Years practitioner.
The Level 2 qualification, once completed, provides a pathway for progression on to the Level 3 Award; which is required for employment into more senior / management roles within the Early Years Sector or for entry onto higher levels of qualification, including the Early Years Practice Degree and Early Years Qualified Teacher Statues.
The nursery offers a generous employee discount for employees requiring a childcare place for their own child.
Whilst no previous experience is required for the Level 2 award, all candidates should be enthusiastic and have a genuine interest in Early Years Education. Candidates should ideally have grade C or above GCSE in English and Maths, however if this has not been achieved previously they must be willing, to work towards an equivalent qualification such as functional skills, alongside the main childcare qualification as part of the Apprenticeship program.
