Summary
We are seeking a number of dedicated Trainee Sheet Metal Cladders/Insulators to join our existing teams due to the on take of new projects for 2026 & beyond. This role offers on-the-job training and opportunities for career development within the insulation and sheet metal fabrication industry. Based at our sites, you will contribute to high-quality insulation projects that support our clients' needs. This role requires a willingness to travel & stay away from home for a week at a time, occassionally longer but this is rare. Whilst working away from home, the company provides accommodation & you will travel in a work vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of insulation and sheet metal components on various construction sites.
- Read and interpret technical drawings.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely.
- Support senior team members in heavy lifting and material handling.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in training sessions to develop skills in fabrication and insulation techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in sheet metal fabrication and insulation installation.
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor.
- Basic understanding of construction or related trades is advantageous.
- Strong attention to safety procedures.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Prior experience with hand tools or power tools is beneficial but not required.
- Motivated individual seeking a long-term career in the industry.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 42 per week
