Role Overview
Deliver High-Quality Training and Support:
· Provide engaging and structured lessons, both in-person and online, tailored to the needs of apprentices.
· Teach and assess apprentices across their program, ensuring they develop the required knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
Monitor Apprentice Progress:
· Track and document apprentice performance through regular assessments, reviews, and evaluations.
· Provide feedback and guidance to help apprentices meet learning goals and milestones.
· Develop and Implement Learning Plans
· Customise individual learning plans (ILPs) based on the apprentice's starting point, workplace requirements, and learning goals.
· Adjust teaching strategies to suit a range of learning styles and abilities.
Liaise with Employers:
· Communicate regularly with the apprentices' employers to ensure training aligns with workplace expectations and standards.
· Support employers in understanding their role in the apprenticeship program, providing guidance on mentoring and workplace assessments.
· Conduct regular progress reviews with the employer and the learner.
Prepare Apprentices for End-Point Assessments (EPA):
· Equip apprentices with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to successfully complete their end-point assessments.
· Provide practice tests and mock assessments to ensure readiness.
Compliance with Industry Standards:
· Ensure all training and assessments adhere to relevant apprenticeship standards and frameworks.
· Stay updated with industry regulations, curriculum changes, and professional development requirements.
Provide Pastoral Support:
· Offer guidance on both academic and personal issues, helping apprentices balance their workplace and educational commitments.
· Act as a mentor, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Administration and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate records of learner progress, attendance, and achievements.
· Prepare reports for internal audits, external regulators, and employer reviews.
Continuous Improvement:
· Reflect on and evaluate the effectiveness of your teaching methods, seeking opportunities for personal development.
· Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in the apprenticeship sector.
Promote Equality and Diversity:
· Ensure all apprentices receive equal opportunities for learning and growth, addressing individual needs and promoting inclusivity.
These responsibilities ensure that apprenticeship tutors support both the academic and workplace development of apprentices, creating a bridge between education and industry.
Essential Qualifications:
· AAT or equivalent level 3
· Experience working in the sector
Desirable Qualifications:
· Assessor Qualification D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA
· Teaching Qualification Level 3 Award in Education or above
· Maths and English GCSE, A Level, or Functional Skills at Level 2
· AAT or equivalent level 4
