Embedded Software Test Technician
We’re seeking a hands-on Embedded Software Test Technician to support validation efforts in a dynamic engineering environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with physical test equipment, uncovering defects, and contributing to high-quality product releases.
What You’ll Do
- Execute assigned test cases and document objective test results
- Identify, log, and track software defects using defect management tools
- Perform exploratory and ad-hoc testing to uncover edge-case issues
- Assist in developing work instructions, procedures, and training materials
- Support validation of software development and test tools per corporate standards
- Provide regular status updates to test leads and supervisors
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant lab environment (OSHA standards)
What You Bring
- Associate degree (or equivalent technical training/apprenticeship) in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering
- 1+ years of embedded software testing experience
- Experience operating lab/test equipment measuring:
- Temperature
- Electrical signals
- Pressure, force, strain, flow
- Distance, time, light, sound, weight
- Ability to interpret prints, sketches, and technical instructions
- Proficiency with computers and familiarity with Data Acquisition systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Self-driven mindset with excellent collaboration and communication skills
