Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This paid position offers hands-on experience in plumbing and related trades, providing a solid foundation for a future career in the industry. Duties
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out tasks efficiently and safely
- Support with welding and assembly work as required for pipe fitting and system connections
- Perform basic carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations and repairs
- Conduct measurements and calculations using basic maths to ensure accurate fitting and alignment of components
- Handle heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks effectively
Requirements
- A keen interest in plumbing, mechanical systems, or construction trades
- Basic knowledge of plumbing principles and techniques is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key
- Experience or familiarity with welding, carpentry, or assembly work is desirable
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other relevant equipment safely and effectively
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physically fit with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work in confined or awkward spaces
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving duties is preferred but not mandatory at entry level
- Willingness to undertake training in plumbing techniques, safety procedures, and industry standards
