Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber / Pipefitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems across various construction and maintenance projects. This role requires a solid understanding of schematics, welding techniques, and mechanical systems to ensure the efficient and safe operation of plumbing infrastructure. Duties
- Read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints to accurately install or repair piping systems.
- Cut, assemble, and install pipes using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other specialised tools.
- Conduct maintenance on existing piping systems to prevent leaks or failures.
- Troubleshoot issues within plumbing and mechanical systems efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and building codes.
- Assist in the assembly of plumbing fixtures and related components during construction or renovation projects.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for future reference or inspections.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a plumber or pipefitter with knowledge of construction environments.
- full uk driving license .
- Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems, maintenance procedures, and assembly processes.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised machinery safely.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical data.
- Problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Physical fitness to handle manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in plumbing or pipefitting are preferred but not mandatory.
