Overview
We are seeking someone who is looking to complete an Apprenticeship for a Level 3 Team Supervisor, you will join our dynamic team in the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence. As a Team Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and production, while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This position is perfect for individuals looking to advance their career in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and collaboration are essential. Full training will be given in a new privately run busy café with an established customer base in Spaces offices in the heart of Birmingham City Centre.
Duties
- Coordinating and managing daily operations, including opening and closing the Cafe, staff management and ensuring all paperwork is completed before leaving for the day.
- Supervise and support team members in their roles, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Managing stock control and budgets, and keeping accurate records of daily sales, food inventory, and employee labour costs.
- Address any issues or concerns raised by team members or guests promptly and professionally.
- Planning menus within budget, Creating and supervising the preparation and delivery of food and drinks, and ensuring food and drinks are of high quality
- Working on plans for small and large events.
- Operating the point-of-sale system, processing payments. Cashing up and balancing the epos system.
Skills
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the culinary or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on teamwork.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills.
- Previous experience in restaurants or hotels is advantageous but not essential.
- Food Hygiene certificate.
- Good communication skills and be highly motivated.
- Commitment and good time-keeping are vital.
