We are seeking a highly motivated Research and Development Trainee to join our team. The Research and Development Trainee will support our Manufacturing department.
As a Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of new products and processes. You will work closely with our experienced team to learn and apply new skills in research, development, and project management. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about innovation and wants to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic industry. Lead market research for the Turbine Temperature testers used on all engine types to test EGT probes/sensors of commercial aircraft, helicopters and private jets.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of new products and processes
- Conduct research and analysis to support product development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Participate in project planning and execution
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
The Trainee will be in charge of a technical market research project for Barfield's Turbine Temperature testers:
The mission is to identify all the aircraft and engine applications for these two products, meaning finding out which commercial aircraft, helicopters, and private jets, and which engine manufacturers use Barfield Turbine Temp product lines.
The Trainee will also be responsible for building a simple database to store that data properly, with easy access and search capability.
