Reed Learning is seeking a Head of Apprenticeships to lead and continuously enhance our apprenticeship provision across Accountancy, Leadership & Management, HR, and Learning & Development. This is a senior leadership role with real influence - shaping strategy, ensuring excellence in quality and compliance, and delivering outstanding learner outcomes.

The role

As Head of Apprenticeships, you'll have overall accountability for the performance, quality, compliance and growth of our apprenticeship provision. Working closely with employers, regulators and senior colleagues, you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening our reputation and progressing towards an Outstanding Ofsted rating.

You'll lead a highly capable team, including the Apprenticeship Manager and Quality Manager, fostering a culture of ambition, accountability and continuous improvement.

What you'll be responsible for

Lead our apprenticeship provision, driving outstanding quality and learner success
Grow and evolve Reed Learning's apprenticeship portfolio in line with our strategic vision
Build annual delivery plans with key managers, ensuring programmes meet employer, industry and Skills England needs
Partner with Quality and Apprenticeship Managers to ensure full compliance with DfE, Ofsted, ESFA and safeguarding requirements
Act as Ofsted nominee, preparing the organisation and confidently leading inspection activity
Work closely with employers and industry bodies to keep programmes relevant, innovative and future‑focused
Oversee onboarding and programme administration to ensure a seamless, compliant learner journey
Lead monthly quality and performance reviews, tracking KPIs and putting timely interventions in place
Conduct regular reviews with direct reports, embedding KPIs that support our strategic goals and progression from Good to Outstanding
Continually review systems, processes and resources to optimise efficiency while maintaining high quality
Drive continuous improvement alongside the apprenticeship team and external quality advisers

What you'll bring

Proven experience leading and managing apprenticeship provision
Strong experience with Ofsted inspections and the Education Inspection Framework (EIF)
In‑depth understanding of apprenticeship standards, funding and compliance
Credibility across HR, Leadership & Management and/or Accountancy apprenticeships
A data‑led, improvement‑focused approach with a passion for learner success
Confidence leading senior stakeholders and inspiring high‑performing teams
