If you've been in the same industry for a while and feel it's time to retrain in something new, or if you're looking for your first job with a qualification to match, an Apprenticeship in Early Years Education could be for you!
For over ten years, we have supported Early Years Educator Apprentices in working towards recognised Level 2 and 3 diplomas in Early Years Education. From school leavers to career changers, we have supported people from all walks of life in achieving their goals of working in Early Years Education.
Our experience in supporting apprenticeships means we have strong processes in place to ensure you are well supported throughout your studies, including an experienced tutor for your academic work and in-house support from your Nursery Manager, alongside qualified colleagues who will help you to understand all you need to know when it comes to working in the setting.
About the role
- You will work in the Nursery setting whilst completing a Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education with the support of your Nursery Management team and Tutor
- You will receive "off-the-job hours" every week to give you time to focus on any academic work that has been set for you or to take part in training that all counts towards your diploma.
- We use a Sussex based training provider for your diploma who will provide you with a friendly and supportive tutor.
- Your tutor will visit you in the setting and work with you to ensure you pass your diploma with flying colours within 15 to 18 months.
- You'll have fun providing educational activities for the children, building relationships with them and getting to know their families.
- You'll have the option to choose from a 4 or 5 day working week
As your knowledge grows, you will begin to have opportunities to plan educational activities and learn how we monitor children's progress.
- You will have a "home setting" with the opportunity to have learning days at our other settings to further develop your skills and knowledge, meet other apprentices, and help you feel part of The Nest family!
- Initially, you'll start on our competitive Apprentice salary. After 12 months, you will receive a pay increase to the minimum wage rate for your age group (if you are aged 18 or over), and once qualified, you can apply for any suitable vacancies that we have, where the fully qualified pay rate will apply.
