Our Shared Service teams, based at the Head Office, provide Health & Safety, Finance, Purchasing, Commercial, Sales & Marketing and Human Resource support to all of our divisions. There are plenty of opportunities to forge a career in the Construction and Marine industries that suit your skills.
Shield takes on apprentices all year round, as and when opportunities to strengthen our teams arise. We believe that skills can be learnt and that attitude and approach are crucial to any appointment. We want to hear from any interested applicants, regardless of their qualifications.
We place apprentices with experienced team members in order to gain experience and build an on-the-job understanding of the role. The apprentice will be released to study at a relevant college, in line with the college’s timetable.
