During your apprenticeship, you will have unlocked a wealth of learning and development opportunities through a series of placements, and gained valuable experience working on real projects alongside field specialists in the world of business.
Within the Material Control department, you will continue learning and building on the aforementioned experience. This involves being within close proximity of the production facilities and hardware on a daily basis, and being part of a collaborative team working towards optimal production lines. What you will do as a Material Controller
Work on innovative and exciting projects within IPT (integrated project teams).
Attend and contribute to project related meetings.
Contribute to continuous improvement across the business.
Utilise industry wide approved software, including SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
Organise own workload to ensure time is utilised effectively.
Review, release and manage internal Production orders in line with the Production Plan/Schedule.
Link any related drawings and Work Instructions to Internal Production orders.
Expedite work through the Production areas on a daily basis. This includes the retrieval and delivery of hardware/kits.
Advise relevant internal Stakeholders of any delays likely to impact achievement of the Production Plan/Schedule.
Co-ordinate & liaise with all cross-functional teams.
What we need from you:
Qualifications
You must have (as a minimum) the following qualifications:
104 UCAS Points from A'Level or BTEC Extended Diploma in Business Related Subjects plus 5 GCSE grades 4 - 9 or grades A*- C or equivalent, to include Maths and English
Good organisational skills, demonstrated through ability to plan and prioritise.
Analytical and logical nature with a strong desire for continuous improvement.
Proactive and motivated team players who can work collaboratively both within the function and the wider Integrated Project team.
Knowledge of appropriate areas of SAP system, with understanding of the impact of their contribution.
Good experience of processes and product to allow a level of independent working.
Adaptability and flexibility.
Good Communication Skills both written and oral.
Proven relevant technical proficiency through either qualification (NVQ level 3 / HNC) or recognised apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

The starting salary for this role is £20,500
