The job
As a Data Analyst Coach, you’ll be at the heart of what we do - empowering adult learners to build the technical skills, confidence, and mindset needed to succeed in data-driven roles..
You’ll support and inspire individuals on the Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship, helping them to develop their analytical thinking, apply data tools in real-world contexts, and progress in their careers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coach and mentor a caseload of approximately 55 adult learners
- Support learners to develop core data skills, including data analysis, visualisation, and interpretation
- Ensure learners successfully complete their programmes within their planned end date
- Track and monitor learner progress via our LMS (Aptem), ensuring milestones are met
- Deliver clear, constructive, and developmental feedback—both written and verbal
- Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA), ensuring they are confident and ready to succeed
- Support learners to apply data tools and techniques (e.g. Excel, SQL, Power BI or similar) in their workplace
About you
We’re looking for someone who combines a passion for data with a passion for developing others. You’ll be motivated by helping learners grow their confidence and capability in a technical field.
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience as an assessor/coach/teacher in adult learning (ideally within data, digital, or technical programmes)
- Strong, practical experience in data analysis or a related role
- Confidence using data tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar
- Relevant teaching/assessing qualifications (CAVA, AET, PGCE, or equivalent)
- The ability to translate technical concepts into accessible, engaging learning
- A professional, empathetic, and supportive approach with high emotional intelligence
