We’re looking for an IT Support Trainee Technician to join our team in Poole. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in IT, gaining hands-on experience while working alongside an experienced IT Support Technician.
This role offers real variety, supporting both office-based teams and our manufacturing operation on the shop floor.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide first-line IT support to users across the site
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, software and network issues
- Assist with setting up and maintaining IT equipment (laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices)
- Support user account setup and access requests
- Log and manage IT tickets, ensuring issues are tracked and resolved
- Learn and follow IT processes, systems and best practices
- Support the day-to-day running of IT systems across the business
- Work alongside experienced IT professionals who will support your development
This is a hands-on role based both in the office and on the factory floor, supporting our manufacturing teams. The environment is fast-paced and varied, offering exposure to a wide range of systems and technologies.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid passport (travel opportunities may be part of future development)
Desirable:
- GCSEs (A–C) or equivalent
- CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or similar (or willingness to work towards)
- Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 or similar tools
