Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated paralegal or Trainee Solicitor to join our legal practice in Hungerford, Berkshire. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your legal skills within a professional environment. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across areas of law including residential property, commercial property, private client, employment and dispute resolution, working closely with experienced solicitors. This position is ideal for individuals who have completed the academic stage and are committed to pursuing a career in law and eager to learn and grow within the legal sector.
Duties
- Assist solicitors with preparing legal documents, reports, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research
- Attend client meetings, take notes, and support case management activities
- Draft contracts and other legal documents under supervision
- Organise and maintain case files ensuring all documentation is accurate and our compliance requirements followed
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance legal knowledge and skills
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of client service and confidentiality
Requirements
- A recognised law degree or equivalent qualification and ideally, SQE 1 & 2
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst also demonstrating initiative
- Attention to detail and high levels of professionalism
- Willingness to undertake training and professional development activities
