Colemans Garden Centre - Apprentice Baker
Rate of pay £13 per hour but negotiable depending on experience
Full Time / 5 shifts per week including weekends on a shift rota basis, hours will range between 32-35 hours per week.
We are looking for a person with passion and flair to join our award-winning Bakery Team and help us expand our existing team further develop our success in production bakery for Colemans Cafe and Farm Shop. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate.
Duties include:
- Packing of bakery produce for presentation for sale
- Support with preparing and baking food items efficiently to a high standard
- Work safely around kitchen equipment
- Assist in keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic and tidy at all times
- Monitor quality, portion size and waste
Skills needed:
- Experience of working in a kitchen and basic knowledge of baking skills is preferred
- Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
- Professionalism and reliability
- Remains calm under pressure
- Good time management
- An enthusiasm to learn new skills and undertake the NVQ apprentice programme
Job Type:
The successful candidate must be able to cover shifts under a rota system. We understand the importance of work/ life balance so our working hours for bakers means that no split shifts are required.
