Job Purpose
The Quality Assurance coordinator executes strategic direction and accountability in the functional areas of Quality Assurance and external Manufacturing of all products in support of Bitchin’ Sauce LLC. This is an entry-level role focused primarily on documentation, record keeping, data entry, and reporting support related to external manufacturing and quality programs. The Quality Assurance Coordinator works closely with the Operations and Quality teams to maintain accurate records, organize documentation, and ensure required information from manufacturing partners is properly tracked and maintained. This role is administrative and coordination-focused rather than strategic leadership.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintenance of Bitchin’ Sauce Quality Assurance External Manufacturing practices;
- On-going upkeep, monitoring, and improvement of the Bitchin’ Sauce LLC external production process (co-manufacturer’s)
- Assist efforts with co-manufacturers to achieve consistently high quality:
- Meeting or exceeding all Bitchin' Sauce quality standards,
- Monitoring and remedy standard operating procedures in place across all facilities
- Ensuring consistent quality (taste, texture, viscosity, packaging quality) across all manufacturing facilities
- Site-visits and compliance checks as needed
- Verify documentation and batch records at each location
- Manage and coordinate any certified lab testing, typically for pathogen analysis, allergen testing, and shelf-life testing for external manufacturing locations as needed
- Maintain organized digital records of manufacturing documentation, certifications, test results, and quality reports from co-manufacturing partners.
- Perform routine data entry and document updates within internal tracking systems and shared databases.
- Internal quality concerns with ingredients, vendors, or finished product holds.
- Maintain R&D documentation and perform routine data entry duties.
- Assist with 3rd party verifications per our co-manufacturing facilities/suppliers
- Reporting Support
- Prepare routine reports summarizing quality metrics, lab results, and manufacturing activity.
- Assist with compiling documentation needed for internal meetings, audits, or regulatory reviews.
- Maintain spreadsheets and reporting tools used by the Operations and Quality teams.
- Customer Complaint communication and resolution.
- Assist with investigations needed at external facilities
- Communication of all Quality or Food Safety concerns to the Director of Co-Manufacturing and Sr. Director of Operations.
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills, including capability in Microsoft Excel
- Able to work independently with a high level of accuracy
- Willingness to comply with all safety guidelines at all times
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and competently
- HACCP, GFSI, Organic and HPP experience a plus
Working conditions
- The Employee is subject to Food Safety standards in all manufacturing facilities.
- The Employee is expected to work in a full-time capacity.
- The Employee must be prepared to work with challenging customers and vendors.
- The Employee must be able to work in a remote environment.
Compensation
This position is an hourly, non-exempt role under applicable wage and hour laws. The starting pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour.
