Electrical Helper/Apprentice to join our growing team in
Elmsford, NY. In this role, you’ll support experienced, certified electricians as you learn the trade hands‑on. You’ll assist with residential electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations while developing the skills needed to advance in the field. Responsibilities
- Assist With Electrical Installations - Support electricians with installing wiring, outlets, switches, fixtures, panels, and other basic residential components.
- System Inspections - Help with visual inspections and basic electrical testing under supervision.
- Troubleshooting Support - Assist in identifying issues and preparing tools and materials for diagnostics.
- Customer Interaction - Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when speaking with homeowners.
- Code Compliance Support - Follow instructions to help ensure all work meets national, state, and local codes.
- Service Call Assistance - Support job setup, cleanup, material handling, and site organization.
- Documentation - Assist with recording work performed using ServiceTitan (training provided).
- Safety Practices - Follow all PPE requirements, safety standards, and job‑site procedures.
- Customer Service - Contribute to a clean, professional, customer‑first service experience on every job.
Qualifications
- Experience - Minimum 1 year of residential electrical field experience
- Electrical Knowledge - Familiarity with wiring, devices, circuits, and basic electrical components
- Basic Electrical Hand Tools - Must have the essential starter set
- Eagerness to Learn - Strong desire to grow, follow direction, and support licensed electricians
- Communication Skills - Able to follow instructions and interact professionally with customers and team members
- Attention to Detail - Takes pride in neat workmanship, organization, and safe practices
- Service Software - Experience using an iPad or tablet is a plus (training provided)
- Driver’s License - Valid license and reliable transportation required
