About The Role
We’re looking for an Electrician Apprentice that will support licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. This role provides hands-on training while developing foundational electrical trade skills, safety awareness, and construction knowledge. The Electrician Apprentice works under the supervision of licensed electricians and electrical supervisors while participating in apprenticeship training and gaining field experience in electrical system installation and maintenance.
Core Responsibilities
- Electrical Installation Support
- Assist licensed electricians with installation of electrical systems, wiring, outlets, panels, and lighting fixtures.
- Pull wire and install conduit including EMT and PVC systems.
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using hand and power tools.
- Support installation of electrical components in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems when directed by supervising electrician.
- Jobsite Support
- Carry tools, materials, and equipment to support electrical installation activities.
- Maintain organized work areas and ensure tools and equipment remain in good condition.
- Assist in staging materials and preparing work areas prior to installation activities.
- Maintain clean and safe work environments on job sites.
- Safety and Compliance
- Follow all electrical safety procedures and company safety policies.
- Support compliance with electrical codes and project specifications.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment while performing work.
- Report unsafe conditions or hazards to supervisors immediately.
- Training and Skill Development
- Participate in apprenticeship classes and technical training programs.
- Develop understanding of electrical systems, tools, and installation methods.
- Learn to read and interpret basic blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Build foundational knowledge required to progress within the electrical trade.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in an electrical apprenticeship program required.
- Basic understanding of electrical tools and systems preferred.
- Strong math and problem-solving skills preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and work within a team environment required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
