Overview Of The Position
This role will expose the individual to a wide range of engineering skills in the aviation industry centered around creating/maintaining a TTE (Tool & Test Equipment) Equivalency program as well as developing Engineered Repairs to return aircraft parts to service on time, while ensuring safety and compliance, enhancing reliability, and delivering cost savings to airlines.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Uses hand measurement tools and to help reverse engineer commercial aircraft parts.
- Creates inspection report to return measurement data to Engineering.
- Fabricates test equipment using industry standards
- Assists in writing engineering reports.
- Read and Interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of common inspection tools such as micrometer, caliper, height gauges, and optical comparator. Understand inspection and measurement processes and procedures. Experience with MS Excel and MS Word.
