TPF Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a growing and modern accountancy practice in Camberley to recruit an Apprentice Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start their career in accountancy and work towards their ACA or ACCA qualification.
This role will provide hands-on experience across a broad range of accounting, tax, and audit tasks within a supportive team environment. The position is office-based and offers excellent training, development opportunities, and exposure to a variety of client work.
About the RoleAs a Trainee Accountant, you will be supported through a formal training contract while gaining practical experience. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Completing bookkeeping up to trial balance and reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Preparing VAT returns and assisting with client payrolls
- Preparing annual statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
- Preparing personal tax returns
- Assisting on audits and ad-hoc client assignments
- Developing, documenting, and updating procedures and systems
- Working across a variety of accounting and advisory projects to build experience
Requirements
Who We’re Looking ForThe ideal candidate will have:
- GCSEs in Maths and English, preferably grade 6 or above
- Three relevant A Levels, including Mathematics, at Grade B or above (preferred)
- Strong IT skills with proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word
- An enthusiastic, proactive, and organised approach to work
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work to deadlines
- A “can do” attitude and willingness to take on new tasks
- A sense of humour and ability to work collaboratively in a team
Working Week & Salary- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week)
