Role Overview
Workspace Audio Visual is a leading UK-based Audio Visual system integrator delivering high-quality AV solutions to commercial workplaces, education, and specialist environments. We are looking for a Junior Audio Visual Installation Engineer to join our delivery team and work closely with a Senior AV Engineer on the installation, commissioning, and support of AV systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the AV industry, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of technologies and project types.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Site Work
- Assist Senior Engineers with the installation of AV systems including:
- Displays, LED walls, and projection systems
- Audio systems (speakers, microphones, DSPs)
- Video conferencing solutions (Teams / Zoom Rooms)
- Control systems and touch panels
- Carry out first-fix and second-fix installation works, including:
- Mounting screens, brackets, and equipment
- Cable pulling, dressing, and termination (HDMI, CAT6, fibre, speaker cable)
- Support basic system configuration under supervision
Testing & Commissioning Support
- Assist with testing and fault-finding of installed systems
- Support commissioning activities alongside Senior Engineers
- Ensure systems meet project specifications and quality standards
Health, Safety & Quality
- Work in line with company health & safety procedures and site regulations
- Maintain a clean, professional, and organised working environment
- Ensure tools, equipment, and company assets are looked after correctly
Learning & Development
- Learn AV standards, best practices, and manufacturer technologies
- Shadow Senior Engineers to develop troubleshooting and commissioning skills
- Attend training sessions and manufacturer courses where required
Required Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Strong interest in Audio Visual, IT, or technology-based systems
- Basic understanding of AV or IT concepts (through education, hobby, or work experience)
- Willingness to work on construction and live customer sites
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Full UK driving licence (or working towards one)
Desirable
- Previous experience in AV, IT, electrical, or low-voltage installation
- Knowledge of:
- HDMI, HDBaseT, CAT5e/CAT6
- Video conferencing platforms
- Basic networking concepts
- ECS / CSCS card (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: £24,420.00-£35,000.00 per year
