AI & Sustainability Intern (Bali)

Work on the front lines of sustainability innovation, developing and deploying advanced AI-powered systems to improve energy efficiency, enhance carbon tracking, and revolutionize environmental monitoring. This role is designed for a passionate, purpose-driven, and forward-thinking individual with a strong and demonstrable interest in sustainability and a powerful desire to leverage technology to make a tangible and positive impact on the world. You will be an integral part of a dedicated and multidisciplinary team that is developing and implementing innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing and complex environmental challenges, using the transformative power of AI to create a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable future for all.
What You’ll Do
- Utilize and optimize AI algorithms to enhance the efficiency and output of waste-to-energy processes within the EX Venture ecosystem, thereby turning waste into a valuable resource and significantly reducing our environmental footprint.
- Analyze vast and complex environmental datasets to generate predictive sustainability reports, providing our stakeholders with the critical information they need to make informed and strategic decisions about our sustainability performance.
- Apply and refine advanced computer vision models to detect and monitor pollution in real-time and to assess the health of various ecosystems, enabling early intervention and proactive management of a wide range of environmental risks.
- Design, develop, and deploy a suite of AI systems that support and accelerate the transition to a circular economy, helping to create a more sustainable, resource-efficient, and regenerative economic model.
- Conduct in-depth research and lead the implementation of cutting-edge AI techniques for a wide range of sustainability applications, such as using AI to accurately model the impacts of climate change and to predict its future impact on our planet and our communities.
- Develop AI-powered tools to help our portfolio companies measure and reduce their own carbon footprints.
