Full Description:
HS Accountants and Consultants are leaders in Accountancy Compliance and Tax Saving Solutions. They require an Assistant Accountant to be part of a growing team. Working closely with the Director, you will enjoy the challenges of being a key player in the Operational team, by ensuring client records are kept up to date, and staying abreast of company administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Keeping bookkeeping records up to date
- Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure software platforms, such as QuickBooks, Xero, TaxCalc, etc. are kept up to date
- Assist in the analysis of financial data
- Assist in the Preparation of VAT Returns
- Raising Invoices and recording payments with the necessary support
- Assist in the onboarding of new clients
- Assist in ensuring the highest level document and process controls are in place
- Assist in the preparation of Monthly Payroll and CIS Returns
- Ad hoc administrative tasks
Future Prospects:
Opportunity to progress onto the Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician Apprenticeship, further developing technical skills and working towards becoming a fully qualified accountant.
Potential to take on more responsibility within the firm, including supporting year-end accounts preparation, and management accounting under supervision.
The role offers scope for long-term employment and progression into more senior positions as experience and qualifications grow.
Chance to contribute to internal projects, including process improvement, software implementation, and system documentation, building a well-rounded skill set.
