Custom Heat Ltd is a Family business trading across the Midlands and South West; from our head office in Rugby since 1980.
Custom Heat works predominantly across the private and domestic sector but sometimes commercial, our team are able to develop their skill and experience in a variety of settings with different customers; from projects at Windsor Castle through to the Aston Martin F1 team.
As an Apprentice Heating Engineer, working at Custom Heat, you will have the opportunity to work across fuel types, on Boiler Change and full system installations, Air Conditioning, Underfloor Heating, and Renewable systems such as Ground Source and Air Source Heat Pumps. Training is provided to support Engineer development and growth in all areas of the above, if desired.

The working week is Monday - Friday (08:00am - 17:00pm).

The Role
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Level 3 Plumbing and Heating Apprentice who is already enrolled on a recognised apprenticeship programme at college. You’ll work alongside our experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience in domestic and light commercial plumbing and heating systems while developing your skills on the job.
Your duties will include:
- Assisting engineers with installations, maintenance, and repairs of boilers, heating systems, and plumbing fixtures
- Learning diagnostic and fault-finding techniques
- Supporting compliance with health and safety standards
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism on-site
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a Level 3 Plumbing & Heating Apprenticeship at college
- Keen interest in developing a long-term career in the plumbing and heating industry
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Full UK driving licence
