As we expand our creative team, we’re searching for a Fashion Designer Apprentice with a true eye for shape, silhouette, and design flow — someone ready to grow within a bold, fast-evolving brand that stands for empowerment and high-frequency creativity.
The Role
This role is hands-on and creatively rich. You’ll collaborate directly with our founder and design team to bring ideas from concept to creation — developing pieces that embody the HOGU® aesthetic: urban, edgy, classy, and beautifully tailored.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop lingerie and street-luxe apparel with tailored, sculptured silhouettes that enhance and empower the body.
- Create 2D flat sketches and digital renderings to visualise designs clearly and professionally.
- Produce detailed tech packs including specs, trims, fabrics, and construction notes for production.
- Assist with mood boards, trend research, and fabric/trim sourcing.
- Support sampling, fittings, and pattern development, ensuring precision and luxury-level finishing.
- Maintain an organised studio workspace and assist with small production runs.
- Contribute innovative ideas to seasonal collections, lookbooks, and creative campaigns.
Requirements
- Passion for fashion, lingerie, and sculptured design.
- Basic knowledge of sewing, pattern cutting, and garment construction.
- Strong understanding of fabric, fit, silhouette, and tailoring techniques.
- Ability to create tech packs and 2D design flats (Adobe Illustrator or similar).
- Distinct urban, edgy, and classy design style aligned with the HOGU® aesthetic.
- Creative thinker with high attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Positive, reliable, and committed to a minimum of 16 hours per week.
