Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Senior Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their development through engaging activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery setting.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
- Manage daily routines, including meals, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring a smooth operation of the nursery.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their development.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a supportive team environment.
- Uphold health and safety standards within the nursery at all times.
- Drive initiatives that encourage children's social, emotional, and physical growth.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage groups of children effectively while demonstrating leadership qualities.
- A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to engage with children at their level.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the nursery and its children is important.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in early years education is preferred.
