Job Description:
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse/Apprentice to join our dynamic team. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and early education to children aged 3months-5 years. You will work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure each child's individual needs are met and their potential is maximized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
- Provide a safe, secure, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Monitor and record the progress and development of each child, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and supportive team atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and well-being.
- Ensure all nursery policies and procedures are followed, including those related to safeguarding and health and safety.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare and Education (or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
- Must be based and eligible to work in the UK.
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- First Aid and Safeguarding training is desirable but not essential.
