Here at the Westmorland Family we make all our food ourselves from fresh local ingredients including beef and lamb from our own farm at Tebay and carefully selected local suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients.
Our Cookery school apprenticeship course is a full time paid position including a day a week at Kendal college and 4 days a week in our Westmorland Hotel working alongside the Head Chef and Kitchen team to practise your new skills.
We also include time spent in our Northern sites both on the farm, in the butchery and at our Production Kitchen at Rheged
Following our specifications you will ensure that the food is cooked and presented appropriately in accordance with demand and ensuring only the highest quality products are offered to our customers.
Responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen, you will also need to maintain a clean, tidy and safe kitchen with the highest levels of food safety to maintain our 5 star rating including completing all necessary paperwork.
