As we develop our new apprenticeship program in Salt Lake City, we’re excited to connect with SLCC students, alumni, and community members—future leaders who share our commitment to sustainable resource solutions and global opportunity.
With over 15,000 people across six countries, Thiess is a global mining services provider focused on long-term value, local partnerships, and building meaningful careers. Our program offers graduates a unique pathway: training to the Canadian Red Seal standard and access to FIFO roles across North America—without leaving Utah.
We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who have graduated from a formal training program with either an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. They will have a passion for learning and a strong interest in diesel and heavy equipment mechanics. We’ll provide on-the-job training, and you’ll receive the support needed to succeed.
Please submit your information here if you are a student from SLCC that is interested in our Diesel Mechanics Apprenticeship program coming in June 2025.
