Job Description
This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of the City's information technology equipment and aiding the City’s IT/GIS Division.
Examples of Duties
- Troubleshoot and identify problems or complaints in a computer system or device.
- Install or replace computers and peripherals
- Respond to and complete help-desk tickets and concerns from other departments in a timely manner.
- Answer support phone calls.
- Assist system administrators and analysts with tasks as needed.
- Assist in other various duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
