Holly House Day Nursery is an exciting new childcare facility which opened 2022 in the Harworth and Bircotes area. We recognise that our staff are our most valuable asset in ensuring that every child receives outstanding care. We are looking for a Nursery Assistant or Apprentice to join our dedicated team of professionals. The chosen candidate will be trained on site with the help of our external training provider to gain a Level 3 Qualification as a Nursery Nurse. If you are looking for a rewarding career working with children this is an excellent route to gain experience and a qualification. Full recruitment vetting will take place including DBS check.
Nursery Assistant
Duties:
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in the nursery
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and play
- Assist with nappy changes, feeding, and naptime routines
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery area
- Communicate with parents regarding their child's day and any concerns or updates
Skills:
- Previous experience working with young children would be good
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, compassion, and a love for working with children
