This role will have a starting salary of £32,729
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.
UKAEA's Apprenticeship Scheme will allow you to gain the technical knowledge, practical experience and wider skills and behaviours needed for your immediate job role and future career. The successful apprentice will gain this through the combination of formal off-the-job training and the opportunity to apply these skills in a real work environment through on-the-job training.

As an Apprentice Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating closely with experienced systems engineers, benefiting from appropriate guidance and support. You will gain proficiency in developing and applying state-of-the-art systems engineering approaches to support the design and realisation of VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) systems.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Complete national academic qualification as defined by the apprenticeship training standard: Systems engineer (degree) / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education
- Attend designated training provider, develop and attain a good knowledge of technical skills.
- Represent the UKAEA Organisation and attend external outreach and careers events.
